Not here to guilt trip you. Next time you'll know better to investigate more before you buy.

It is understandable, puppy breath, cute faces, cuddly bodies. So tempting. The real problem is that the puppymills exist along with the petstores to peddle them and tempt us!

No petlands here anymore, but the ones that replaced them do have a warantee or garantee of somekind for a year. Did they give you some kind of paper to sign that stipulated what would happen if defects were found, like open fontenelle or luxating patella ? I would think the manager of the store should be more open with giving you a refund or compensation for medical expenses?

The petstore here also gives a paper with all the info on the shots/wormings and exams that the puppy receives before it goes home with you.

Unfortunately for me, I learned the hard way too! I fell for a petstore puppy and I knew better than to purchase one of "those" ! The first vet and my regular vet were agreeable on great patellas at the time that I bought my puppy, now my current vet is saying all kinds of scarry things about my dog's pattellas! Thank goodness she is not limping at this point in time, but she is nearing 3 years of age and its waaaay to late for me to do anything on the garantee I have as it is only good for the first year! I am glad that I did have her spayed though!

Good luck with your puppies and getting everything straight!
