Your vet may just be very cautious and aware that her first vaccinations may not have taken because they were given too soon.

Over vaccinating is very dangerous and I definitely recommend Dr. Dodd's protocol. You must make sure they are properly vaccinated as puppies, though, then boosted at one year, before you can do the three year protocol.

Since your breeder keep her until she was 12 weeks, it's a shame she didn't wait another week or two to give the first vaccinations. Perhaps you can send her the link to Dr. Dodd's protocol that jencar98 posted so she can delay vaccinating future litters until 9-10 weeks?
