I just got my first yorkie this past spring - not even a year ago and I'm already planning on how I can get more!! I'm pretty sure I am already addicted! I just wish I knew some local people with other yorkies - I really want to socialize mine more with small dogs.
I do have a question for your Biewer experts - what is the different in a Biewer and a parti-colored yorkie? I found a few breeders that do not refer to them as Biewers but as parti-colored and from the pics they look to be colored the same. Is there a difference? |
Basically the same dog (depending on who you ask
) The Biewer has a standard for color placement and is registered in Germany and with several US registries...they can be shown under the rare breed venues but not AKC. The Parti has no standard for color placement...they can be AKC registered but can not be shown. I'm not sure if they can be shown in the rare breed venues but I know the Biewer can.
