I already stated I don't think a healthy pup that is eating well needs added sugar. Giving too much added glucose can interfere with the body's ability to produce its own. Glucose supplements can be a life saver but are no substitute for a dog eating well.
Here's a link to an article that explains some of the processes.... Metabolic Functions of the Liver |
I use Nutri Drops, much faster absorbing I administer at birth, to give pups a good start. Another thing I administer is Benebac....probiotic for good bacteria.
With that being said.
I strongly suggest that this puppy be given Goats Milk with Gerber's Rice Cereal, with a bit of Karo Syrup.
I see that this pup has been given Flagyl.....at this young age.....I don't think it should be given......it does cause loss of appetite.
With loose stools, my vet has prescribed Albon (milder for puppy tummies), even if the pup is not diagnosed with Coccidia
