A pup should have their 1st round of shots at 6 weeks. Some may wait a few more weeks depending on their size. A pup should never leave their birth place without that first set of shots. It is dangerous for the pups to even be handled by others before that. When you do pick your pup up take him to the vet immediatly. When you looked at the pup did they say that the shots would be given? If not that should have been a warning sign. Is their a health Gaurantee? 7 weeks is early to be leaving their first home, but it is not unheard of. He will just need a little more time and attention than an older pup. Good luck with him.
