If possible maybe you could also recommend she contact whichever Rescue Organization (if she acquired him via this method) to see if they'll rehome him themselves...usually they require this when you adopt.
I'd rather see her surrender to a RO anyway...kwim? He sounds like he needs special care in placing anyway!
