If you go to the website of the airline you are traveling on they have a section on traveling with your pet which could be very helpful. Some airlines will not allow any animals (Southwest) and many charge alot of $$$$. You do have to make reservations and they only allow so many animals in the cabin. The dog must sit in a bag under the seat in front of you and they will require a health certificate issued 10 days before you travel. I certainly hope you can get a reservation in the cabin as I would not allow any of my animals to go as baggage in the cargo hold.
