I confine my baby to a small area in the kitchen to let her have exercise and attention. When she's not in the kitchen she is in her x pen. There is always a potty pad, bed, food, and water available to her. When I see her show signs of looking for a place to go potty, I encourage her to go to the potty pad. I also have a 3 year old that I potty pad trained due to the winter cold, but when it warmed up I trained her to go outside as well, and now she will only go potty outside. I'm sorry, I forgot to explain what potty pad training is-LOL- Yes, it is a pad that you put down for them to go potty on. You can buy disposible ones in the pet section at any store like Walmart or Meijers, as well as finding them at any pet store. I prefer the washable ones, I bought mine referbised online, but I like these ones because they tend to drag the disposable ones around and will even shred them and make a big mess.
