My girl is 2.5 lb and she is 4 months old. She jumps up and down my bed all the time since she was 3 months old! My floor is carpet though...I put pillows on the floor just in case and to make it easier for them. My boy has short legs so he is not like her...he is 4 lbs and almost 6 months old...he just finally mastered getting on and off the bed. good luck!
