I'd say you're probably going to be better off with CL or maybe eBay. Since you don't have a receipt, if Nordstrom's does take it back it'll just be at whatever the price is today for that bag so if it's been on sale or something you might not get your original purchase price back. A lot of retailers do store credits or exchanges only on returns, especially returns that don't have the original store receipts, to keep people from picking up something at a garage sale or online for pennies on the dollar (or shoplifting something) and then returning it to the store for full price. I worked for Wal-Mart a few years back and we had to start doing that on tools. People would buy a broken tape measure at a garage sale and since Stanley has a lifetime warranty, they'd bring it back to Wal-Mart and say they'd broken it and we'd just issue a refund. We stopped giving cash refunds on tools and started doing WM gift cards. |
