I think the most thoughtful gift I received was from my close group of friends (there are 6 of them). They all put their money together and bought me a camera I was dying for. I really, really love photography, and have been wanting a nice camera, but I just couldn't justify spending that much money on myself. I almost cried when I got it. It certainly wasn't the smallest or least expensive gift I got (LOL), but it meant the most because they recognized this talent and really did me a huge favor that will help me improve.
I also got (from my parents and other family members):

- ticket to Avenue Q tour
- a tripod
and some other small things. it was a lot of fun. I'm very grateful. Though I also feel a little guilty at how much money was spent on me.
