Sick Puppies In Need

SOLANO COUNTY - A desperate plea from the SPCA of Solano County.
They need donations for a hundred puppies removed in an animal cruelty raid.
The SPCA of Solano County is taking care of 100 sick Yorkie dogs following a raid at the California Pets and Supply Store last Thursday in Dixon.
Store owners Christopher Ellis and his wife Ann Kamp pleaded not guilty in court to selling the sick puppies.
Now it's the shelter's job to nurse them back to health.
Amy Peterson says they've seen a lot of interest from people wanting to help but they need a lot more.
"The most rewarding is seeing all the people that want to help these animals. Seeing how much the community does care about the animals."
Mike Cramer is a dog lover so he brought in cleaning supplies to keep them from getting sicker.
The SPCA says the puppies could use more food and because they're pups it's important they have something to play with.
They're also asking for money donations to help pay high medical costs. Some of the dogs carry contagious diseases like Parvo.
They're hoping the dogs will be able to be adopted once they're completely healthy.
If you'd like to help out you can bring donations to the SPCA of Solano County.
It's located at 2200 Peabody Road in Vacaville.
