I have the XS and my mom has the XSI! I LOVE my camera, there is not alot of difference between the two. Like someone else said the megapixel and screen size. We both took pics at a christmas party and mine were as good as hers. The price difference is what made me choose the XS. I also had a couple of lenses from a Canon Rebel 35mm camera and I wanted to use them with the digital. All Canon lenses are interchangable! Good luck!!!
