I can totally relate to this! We had a Schnauzer named Bonkers when my kids were born. Bonkers would let them lay on him, pull his beard~ he would look up...Mommmmyy!(within reason...we protected him as well
) sit IN his kennel with him and hand feed his kibble
My son's first word was Doggy
....and YES...I am crying again
