Hey, if there's not a history page, there should be! Here's what I know:

It was started by a guy from Seattle (Dan, aka Fasteddie) who bought a Yorkie (Yoda, the one in the masthead) and couldn't find any good information online about Yorkies. So he plunked down a bunch of his own money and created a place where Yorkie owners could gather and share that information for free.

That was in 2004, I believe. Now, six years, nearly 3 million posts and multiple server expansions later, Dan's still here but with a team of helpers who go by the name admin. Yoda's still here, and he has a brother named Winkie. Best of all YT is still here and free (donations accepted

) with a searchable database so anyone who wants to learn about Yorkies can find it.

That's my understanding, anyway.
