I haven't used bitter apple, but have used Bitter Yuck. It definitely worked for her. Sometimes one kind works better for one dog better than the other. Don't know why. But whatever works is good. All my furniture is in tack as I started using it the first time I saw her start chewing as a pup. She's 14 mo old now & still isn't chewing on things she's not supposed to. Got Bitter Yuck at Tractor Supply & have seen it a few other places. Either of them is certainly worth a try. Redirecting her attention with toys when you see her is also a good thing to do. Keep a good assortment of toys around, as some dogs never tire of chewing on something. Good luck!
