There is a thread in the General Section today about what we have learned from YT. I have learned a lot about taking care of my two regarding medical, training, grooming, etc. But the threads like this one are the ones I remember the most. I always have to look up something again about medical or training but I never forget something like this. I have heard of people wanting to surrender their dog and giving the rescue nothing to take with it. No toys, no blankets, no food, NOTHING! One family did offer to send an old, rusted crate. They wanted to keep the best one "in case we get another dog". This should be mandatory reading for everyone that even thinks they want to get a dog. But of course some people won't get it. I have said this more than once, I don't see how some people sleep at night.
