I would suggest doing a search on Petfinder. Most rescue groups and a lot of shelters advertise on there. You can read the pups' bios to get an idea of what each one is like.

I would just like to second this. I found my Lilly on Petfinder and now volunteer with the rescue she came from. She was 13 weeks old when I picked her up. She's now going to be 3 yrs. old in September. The upside about adopting is that they are spayed or neutered already, have their shots and vetting. PLEASE though always investigate even a rescue. There are good and bad in everything and a big thing right now are brokers posing as rescues. A red flag is if the rescue has a lot of puppies. Good Luck and I'm very sorry about your Casey.
