People are strange and feel almost obligated to comment when they see a dog (or maybe a Yorkie). One evening I was pumping gas, Sophie Kate was in the back window on her hind legs looking at me. In the car next to me on the other side of the pump was this man lets say maybe 30, he was the passenger and I presume he had a few adult beverages because he says to me "Your dog looks like a Monkey".
Now I can be a tad bit sarcastic and I just started laughing and said back to him "your kid looks like a Monkey" (note there was NOT a kid with this man). Well his friend who was also pumping gas started laughing and the man who originally made the statement says "How do you know", I just looked at him straight faced and said "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree".
Thank goodness they both had a good sense of humor, they both just laughed - it really was quite fun.
