I've never heard of that shot. What was it suppose to do?
We just had Mia in for her cleaning and after talking with our new vet we decided to have her use a gel sealant on her after the cleaning and then we'll put it on every week afterwards. She said there wasn't anything better than brushing - even if you don't use toothpaste. (although she does recommend it) The actual brushing is the only thing that will really keep the tarter off. She also said that we might not have to have her clean her teeth every year - that she will examine them on a yearly basis and decide at that time. I like that because it was harder on Mia having her teeth cleaned than it was for her spay.
