B/c having them up now is crucial it's okay to shave the whole ear, not just the tip IMO. I asked if you're touching the ear b/c folks will pet behind the ears affectionately. Do not allow any contact w/ ears whatsoever. They are too fragile. Keep this in mind about tape on/ tape off. Resist the urge to peek at the ears. Tape them & leave.

I'm assuming you got him at 12 weeks, had him a wk them ears went down? Did you ask the breeder if they were up before that? I think it's a good idea to take him in to the vet maybe w/ the tape on too. Why not, take advantage of the appt. ? Let the vet show you how to tape it for the best results. Not to worry, if they were up for a week you'll be okay. He's a doll. Congratulations.
