Is there anyway that you can have some come in from when you hubby leaves and you coming home? I think that is a wee bit too long for a little one to hold it. Starting off potty training, you should really try and take her out every hour, for sure every 2 hours. If she is in the crate from 6:30 - 5ish that's really a long time. Although your hubby takes her out when he leaves for work, she is still in the crate. Have you thought of an expen with a pad? Or maybe having her gated off in a bathroom with a pad? This may work out better since you are gone a large part of the day. This way she can have some toys to entertain herself with as well. Just a thought. Good luck. Can't wait to see pictures of your little one.
that is what I was going to say, my new boy never does anything in his crate but he only is in it to sleep all nite, during the day I too work and we put his pad in the laundry room (we tried to gate it but he learned to jump over at 12 weeks) so now we close the door, in the beginning he peeded on the floor couple times even tore up the pad (he don't go outside at all) but now at 15 weeks he finally has it...so now I have pad in the laundry at the backdoor, at the front door and in my bathroom and he is using it 95% of the time ill look and there are new spots and he is using all of them. now poop he hit or misses he starts by the pad but then he walks and poops....so try this if you can good luck they are almost the same age so keep in touch.
