I use White vinegar and water on my floors as well as spot clean ups on the carpet.
I have all hardwood and laminate throughout and when we had our floors refinished when we moved in, the floor guy said the BEST thing for hardwood is white vineager and water!
It's also safe. I also do bleach and water about once every two weeks.
