I haven't done dog acupuncture but my mother had it done personally for years and had a decent reduction in pain. If you're just doing it for pain management - I think its a great idea! Certainly worth a chance... but do keep in mind depending on what we're exactly talking about here (since you don't mention in detail) its not going to fix your issues. Its just going to "mask" or "treat" one of the issues it causes. Alternative medicine can be great, but it has its limitations.
Ligaments put you in a tough situation, because if they've been stretched severely... there isn't anything that's going to un-stretch them beyond going in an physically shortening them. Depending on the situation though, alternative medicine may help you manage the symptoms and delay surgical action.
Is there another specialist you can see for a second option?
