What is the lipid panel test I googled it but can not find it in connection with dogs just people .
What is the lipid panel test? A lipid panel is a blood test that usually measures 3 kinds of lipids in the blood. The lipids are related to cholesterol, a fatty substance also in the blood. Most of the cholesterol in your blood is made by your liver from the fats, carbohydrates, and proteins you eat. You also get cholesterol by eating animal products such as meat, eggs, and dairy products
I did find something about bile acid response testing for liver shunt. I do not know much about this so maybe someone can explain it better than me.
