When I first got mine, I let Daisy play in it. She climbed in and out and I put treats and toys in it. She even crawled in the bottom basket and took toys in there. We still use it every day in the house for a bed.
If you are not sure if your pup will like it, see if you can borrow a baby stroller. Line the seat with a blanket and go for a little walk around the house.
