 UTI questions
I put this in the off topic forum but didn't get any response so I thought I would try here even though it is about my foster pom. Ever since her spay about 12 days ago I noticed she peed a little more often and when I mentioned it to the shelter they said it was not uncommon after a spay. Well today she started going 3-4 times every 30 minutes and sometimes there is drops of blood in it. I took a sample to the shelter and they are sending it out to the lab and started her on Claivimox 2 times a day. I had a yorkie once with a UTI but she didn't go near as much as this one. Has any one experienced this frequent of urination with a UTI? Also how long does it take for the antibiotic to help? Can I put a diaper on her in the mean time? Can i get them at Petsmart? Any help is appreciated! Thanks |
