Default Aggression with other dogs..

Hi Everyone, I am the owner of a 19 month old male Yorkie, Denzil. Up until about 3 months ago, he was a placid little fellow with other dogs but has now become very aggressive towards them, growling and snarling or even having a nip if he can get near them. It is very embarassing and worrying as I have to have eyes in the back of my head if we are over the park (I now do not let him off the lead) He did get in a scuff with two Jack Russells a while ago and I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I am thinking of getting a muzzle for when we go out to see if that helps. He has not been castrated yet, but I may have him 'done' in the new year to see if that calms him.

I am happy to say that he still loves people and has never shown any aggression in that direction. Has anyone else experienced this with there Yorkies and how did they deal with it?

Many thanks in advance for any advice!

Tracy
