my sweet Yorkie, Pippi, jumps on my lap AS SOON AS I get my jeans on (~ 9-9:30 am. I use a wheelchair b/c I was thrown off my horse & broke my neck
). She sits w/me for HOURS - maybe 5-6 till she jumps down whilst we're outside to relieve herself; thankfully she 100% housebroken. During this time, I'm generally getting ready - makeup, perfume, whatever - and, she'll just sit, and usually lie down facing my left-side
(I think she feels secure tucking her snout). She's usually been this way, but even more so now that my other dog has passed. If she's not riding on my lap, she's laying nearby and springs into action as soon as she hears the 'click' of my (power)chair. I talk to her, sing to her, etc, but worry she'll tire of me since she's always nearby. She's also my 'service dog', and sits on my lap when we're in public & she sleeps w/me, too.
Just worried my sweet angel will tire of me -OR- if she feels responsible for looking out for my well-being. I just love her so-ooo much
