About the bowls - they are ceramic and should be completely safe for daily microwave use - they've been endorsed by the RSPCA. No metal at all. I wasn't able to find any specific information on microwave use on the manufacturer's (
Rayware - Mason Cash) website, but I would feel very confident about them.
