Yeah, it actually hasn't been quite as hard as I thought it would be. He's been fairly laid back anyways, doing a lot of bully stick chewing, and his Himaylan chew he loves.
It's just the jumping! He's just so used to being able to get on/off the bed when he pleases. I'll have to look into some of those stairs - they may not reach my bed though. I'll be talking to the vet about the vaccine. I dogsit often for 2 Boxers and she told me her oldest got Lymes disease and it was terrible so she's gotten the vaccine every year for 8 years with no problems.

I don't think I could handle 6 months worth!
She told me just for a week no rough housing and only outside to go to the bathroom but she never specified if he could walk on wood floors, etc. Luckily, my bedroom had a baby gate in the doorway so it's fairly easy to keep him contained in there on the carpet (although I do have an ex-pen from when he was a pup). For now - he's been home alone a lot more (I used to take him with me a lot places) and contained in my bedroom.
