I lost my husband of 20 years, MY soulmate, at the end of July. I was happy before we met, but after I met him, I was complete. I didn't know before then that I wasn't "whole". Now that he's gone, there's a hole in my being that didn't exist before - his loss is very close to unbearable.

So I know how you feel, how great the loss is. And you have young children, too. You have to keep strong for them, even when you want to fall in a boneless, empty heap on the floor. I hope you have family, friends - some sort of support system. You'll need them.

I hope you have lots of pictures of all of you together. Maybe putting them in order, in a scrapbook for the kids later on, reliving the happy times will help you through this.

The Holidays are the worst, and your loss is fresh. I hope you can find peace soon. Hold your children close ... they are a part of him.
