As for the pronunciation. Like someone said, the Biewer comes from Germany. Well, I've only taken a few months of German classes, but I'm gathering that the correct pronunciation is indeed "beever." The e comes after the i, and whichever letter comes second, that is the one you pronounce (if the i comes second, you prounounce the i. Like in 'Streisand'). and, of course, the W is pronounced V.
I know that probably made no sense. It's 5 in the morning, what do you want from my life?
