 Blockage?
I have a 7 month old girl who I'm worrying about. Yesterday evening (Monday) I started noticing very loud bowel sounds. I mean, audible from 4-5 feet away bowel sounds. I thought it was odd but she was acting normal and had normal stool during the day. Well her bowel sounds are not as loud but if I have her up by my face I can still hear them. She also has not had a bowel movement since Monday evening. I'm a RN and I know high pitch tinkling bowel sounds and no bowel movements can indicate an obstruction in humans. She's acting fine, still eating, not throwing up and her belly does not look any larger. Do you guys think I should I should go ahead and take her to the vet or wait? I'm just so worried but I don't want to have them do unneccesary x-rays on her. |
