Maybe this was the way she slept in her previous home? Maybe she finds sleeping in her crate to be comforting... Dogs are den creatures, so this is not too odd at all.

I wish mine would sleep in his crate without a fuss... we have two cats and Couver that all sleep on our queen sized bed at night... It gets pretty crowded!
