It does sound like she feels insecure in her environment. She is at an age where she needs lots of love and attention. Hopefully with time she will start feeling more secure in your home. Sometimes it just takes time. |
She stays with my boyfriend's place during the day or in the car (on my lap) when we go to places. They stay on his bed which is elevated so they cannot jump down and that is their territory. We bring them down once in awhile for them to run around (this is not their only exercise). They have access to their crate at all times when they're on the bed. At my place, they are in a confined area of theirs but they are permitted to jump onto my bed anytime. They use their crate less at my place, but she will go in there when she needs a safe haven. She whines more often at my boyfriend's place when we are out of sight.
The male I have is 5.5 months which is around 10 weeks older than her. She behaves much better than him. In fact, she copies his bad habits which we are trying to correct. They are together at all times. She follows him all the time, but he plays a little rough on her sometimes and she would yelp and run into the crate but he would growl and follow her. That is when we will step in and stop him.
Nope, we do not have any kids in the house...
