Ladymom is quite right that aggression doesn't start until later on. Many owners don't realize that a dog's behavior can change rapidly when they start to mature.

Capone, I'm not saying your dog is wild and totally untrained. What I'm suggesting is that your dog isn't trained to handle giving up something that is highly valuable to him. Maybe your dog hasn't bitten you over a bone he's trying to guard but don't be surprised if he does with something even more valuable to him. Who knows what that might be, hopefully nothing is ever that valuable to him.
