There's no rule that says you have to cut the puppy hair. A lot of people do because of matting problems like Chelsea had. There's just something about the incoming adult hair tangling up with the puppy hair and causing bad mats. If you aren't having any problems, and if you like it long, then I'd say don't cut it.
