We've successfully switched from the pads to paper towel! Max is finicky & will go on the floor somewhere rather than on a pad he's already used before...we were taking the small pads, cutting into 4ths & taping the edges...what a pain! One day we ran out of pads, and tried paper towel & it worked just fine.
