We've had 2 yorkies at the most, but at a time we had a big dog (a lab) and 2 yorkies - that was PERFECT. I don't think I'd go more than 3.
Or...if you're feeling adventerous (and can handle it, financially and otherwise)...go by how many people are in your house! if you've got 5 family members, get 5 yorkies. that way you've got a houseful, but they don't outnumber you. Follow?
