I have read good and bad things about the Banfield, but it is a wellness plan and not insurance. It only covers the routine things.
I did referred them to a few people that have our puppies, as i knew the local vet and i loved her. Some people love it, others do not like it that much. I go to a local vet my self, but i have used Banfield many times for shots and routine things as they take walk ins...
I would say, put it all in paper and make the math. I know the plan is very well worthy if your puppy will need to be spayed/neutered... for the first year it is an awesome option in my area.
Also i think you should look into know the vet that will be seeing your puppy. Banfield may have a great plan, or awfull it depends on one's opinion, but if you are uncomfortable with the vet it will never be worthy.
The other way around is also true. you may not like Banfield at all, but if you trust and like the vet working there , why not give it a try?
