My reasoning is because I do so much with Jackson and I can't imagine having so many dogs that I couldn't do that with. We go to the dog park many times during the week, we go for walks every day, we go for car rides often, he's my "best friend" and if I had more than 2 or 3... I just don't think I could do that. I can only give so much love, attention and money to my dog(s) fairly. I think if I was going to have a lot of dogs, I would need help to give them sufficient exercise and discipline. I would never own more dogs than I can walk at 1 time. |
Good answer! I have two, plus I work a full time job and it gets to be a lot sometimes. Buster is a finnicky eater so I spend a lot time working with him. Buster and Maggie both want lap time and they don't want to share. As for financially, I think two is the most I can do for now. I have spent a lot on vet bills in the two years that I have had Yorkies but that is ok, I would rather take them to the vet than wonder if they will get better or worse. I would love to have more Yorkies but until I don't have to work or I become independently wealthy...! I can see me getting another at some point but I would want to have enough time to spend with them. My two babies want a lot of affection and attention and I love to give it but there is only so many hours in the day. I have been off work four days for the holidays and they have been so happy. They will really be happy when they get to take a trip later today to visit relatives!!
