My neutered male will still lift his leg in the house occasionally, however he was neutered a little late (between a 1 and 1 1/2 years old). He doesn't do it a lot, but I notice it's usually when there is company (either person or animal) here, and when he's in a strange place (I will never have him at my mother in laws without a belly band again). I suspect it is related to him feeling the need to mark. That's really the only time I see him do it, otherwise, he goes potty outside or on the pee pads.
