When Miles started barking, I would immediately clap my hands as loud as I could and yell, "NO!" (you've gotta be loud!). I had great luck with it. He stands on the balcony now and watches other dogs play and won't make a sound. He hears noises in the apartment above us, still nothing. The ONLY time he barks is when someone knocks on the door. I can live with that.
