She does have a brindle coat, and looking in her eyes shows a wonderful soul. Her wounds are not from being faught, fighting would show signs of tearing, and these are more like surface wounds from a scuffle or abuse.. I'm glad she's taking to you. Have you let her see the babies a little more. I wouldn't push it, but you need to increase the time that they see each other to determine her personality with them. Thanks for not taking her to the shelter as they would have put her down. If you decide to rehome her be very careful, and ask a price that would discourage back yard breeders and fighters. Whenever I sold one of my pitbulls I always did a home visit before I'd let them go. People can tell you anything, but the truth is in the pudding. If they ask you questions like will she be a good watch dog, has she come from a fighting family, or things like she seems to be a very strong dog, if they try to antagonize(sp) her to see how she reacts these are all bad signs. Also just listening to the people talk about her could give you warning signs. If I didn't live so far away, and was not in the middle of trying to move to another state I'd gladly take her in. Best wishes, and thank you for not being scared of her breed. Whoops she has had a litter. Much to young for her.
