So we recently got a new neighbor 3 doors down. I have come to the realization that his dog is crazy. I know there have been many threads here about Great Pit Bulls, that is good and all. This one, clearly has issues.
Our first introduction was when we were out back on our next door neighbors driveway. They have a Sweet Boxer that goes everywhere with them, they dont always have him on a leash and I know they probably should. But, he is such a good boy and stays right there at home. Duke was getting in the car and this pit came running out of no where charging him. My husband was mad! They chased him off. Well, Christmas Eve my brother was here and when he left to go out to his car there was that pit bull again. He was right by my brothers car and would not let him in the car. He was growling with his ears back. My brother called us on the cell phone to come out. My husband had a fit that this dog was loose again. So my DH starts walking to the owners house, before he knew it, the dog was on the front porch of his house. He would not let me husband ring the door bell. He was growling barking and jumping like he would charge him at any minute. I know if he does, my DH will kill him in his tracts.
I am not worried about our yorkies, they are never in the yard unsupervised and we have a fence that is 7 feet tall and locks from the inside. BUT, what about the neighbors who have cats running freely etc. ? I am afraid he will kill one of them. Also, my DH finally saw the man who owns the dog yesterday and went up to have a conversation with him. He was deaf and just went off trying to yell something to my husband. So, that conversation went no where.
The only reason I have not called Animal Control is because I dont want him to be put to sleep. But, he does not have a responsible owner who keeps him secure. So, what would yall do?
I have started walking the dogs 1 at a time to the car to insure their safety and I feel I can no longer walk them. I have been taking them to another neighborhood with a park. It is very frustrating. Some people should not have kids with skin or fur!!
