Dr. Peak does have an impressive background and experience...
I will more than likely be in touch with them...
Dudley hasn't displayed any signs of pain (not that it isn't painful), he eats great and continues chewing on his bone this morning. The sore has subsided and not draining today, today is the 3rd day of the antibotic.
From the MANY things i read, now I'm wondering if a root canal or extraction is what he'll need? Would it be best to just remove it? I guess the Dr will know once X-rays are taken....sometimes i wish "google" didn't exisit, i research the heck out of things and then get information overload which leads me to panic mode |
He will absolutely need it extracted. The tooth abscessed because the nerve died which allows bacteria to build up. He probably fractured it somehow.
It will continue to abscess until it is extracted. I would think a root canal would be pretty pricey for a dog. I just spent over $3,000 on a root canal and crown on top.
