Good heavens! The ER vet said they could do nothing? Tooth abscesses can spread to the jaw bone and other areas of the body. They can become very serious. Sometimes a little sore will appear on the gum which allows the pus to drain, but not always. The fact that your vet didn't see pus means it is not able to drain which is horribly painful. (I just had a root canal as a result of a botched dental procedure that abscessed). |
