Long in Short....
16 mo 4.5lbs...Tuesday evening i noticed a lump below his eye, took dudley to vet Wed...DX 99% sure of abess tooth, 4th mollar. Although when DR looked in his mouth to see if he can see "puss or infection" there was none.
Gave him injection of antioboics, sent us home w/ 5 day of Clavomax (SP)...
TODAY the abcess is bigger,
redder, and now he won't stop rubbing it or against walls, furniture etc, ,to scratch it....is there anything you all suggest for relief that i can give him.
Called ER but they said to do NOTHING for abcess???
I put a cold wash cloth on his fac in hopes to help but i don't think it does. Now he holds his eye closed or its swollen???
ANYONE have experience with this?
Dr said sore will heal and more than like he will need surgery to remove tooth, but of course can not now b/c of infection, really, how long can this poor thing last with the irritation??? I feel really bad, it heartwreching to watch him and can't help him
