Everything I have read or questioned the vet about they always as long as they are still eating, drinking, playing and no vomiting or diarrehea, than things are good.
Rebels cough only lasted for about four days, I would say if it is much past that I would make a trip to the vet. From what I remember it should not be longer than that.
